In consideration of the 2016 presidential election, this webinar, presented by the Child and Family Policy Center (IA) and Every Child Matters in 2015, sought to ensure child policy is part of the election dialogue in 2015. It discussed the concerns that Iowa (and national) voters have about children, their future, and the threats they face, and how those concerts rate in terms of policy issues. The webinar also discussed how voters react to candidates who propose solutions to child policy issues across age, gender, income, and party affiliation. With this information, it discussed messaging and policy solutions to ensure that candidates and voters focus on fairness, responsibility, opportunity, and community and professional support for children’s issues.
