One of the things that inspires me most about the network members of the Partnership for America’s Children is their fierce commitment to children and families. In 2024, as political divisions and a contentious election strained public trust and slowed policy momentum, our members doubled down on their commitment to kids and families in powerful ways. We are so proud to present our Annual 2024 Impact Report, which is a reflection of how leading with equity and courage results in real, measurable change.
Watch the video introduction:
2024 marked a turning point.
We launched the Partnership’s new Strategy Roadmap, a bold strategic plan created together with our network members to meet this moment. It’s more than a strategic plan. This roadmap is our shared commitment to navigate what lies ahead with purpose, resilience, and a collective vision.
In 2024, we also celebrated real wins for kids and families around the nation. Here are just a handful of examples:
- Alabama Voices for Children and the Colorado Children’s Campaign successfully advocated for new tax credits for families with children.
- Connecticut Voices for Children and the Children’s Advocacy Institute (CA) held big tech companies accountable for the risks that AI and social media pose to children.
- The Children’s Agenda (NY) and partners won continuous Medicaid coverage for children birth to age six.
- Kentucky Youth Advocates supported legislation to make birthing care more accessible by allowing freestanding birth centers to operate in the state.
Network members all over the nation brought children, youth, and families to their state houses to educate lawmakers, challenge harmful policies, and speak up for conditions that allow all children to thrive.
While the federal government remains in gridlock, progress is happening in the states. Our members are leading this charge through creative and persistent public policy advocacy, and the Partnership is providing them with support that matters. In 2024, we:
- Engaged advocates across the network in peer learning and rapid response support.
- Empowered leaders with the tools to lead transformative change
- Invested in infrastructure that will strengthen this child advocacy movement for years to come.
